Khadi Trail - 2014!
Was on a khadi Trail the last 2 weeks..
The Khadi trail across Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra started with a 41 hour train journey from Bangalore to Jaipur. Saw wonderful places and met amazing people - the unique Anokhi museum near Amber fort in the pink city, the block printers and screen printers of Sanganer, the embroidery of the Kutch women – a living tradition, Shrujan, amazing Khamir, organic farm, goshala and cow urine product -one room lab cum production unit of the quietly intense and passionate Manoj Bhai, the rann of kutch, the old gandhian Khadi Institute at Gondal, highly energetic Vel Bhai ji in Rajkot, Sabarmati ashram –Jayesh Bhai-Seva cafe-Crafts root-ESI-at Ahmedabad, inimitable Kapil Bhai and his Vinobha ashram in Vadodara, finally C-TARA at IIT Mumbai.
